Terms of Use
The rules under which Clinic Truth is written and read. Short version: read freely, quote with attribution, do not republish wholesale, and treat our content as journalism, not medical advice.
Effective: 22 April 2026
1. What Clinic Truth is
Clinic Truth is an independent investigative publication about international medical tourism. Everything on this site is written by Clinic Truth Masha and represents the publication's editorial opinion, formed from the data and methodology described on the methodology page.
Clinic Truth is not a medical provider, not a clinic, not a booking service, not an affiliate network. Coordination of actual treatment, if a reader chooses to pursue it, happens via AlbaniaClinic.com — a separate entity with its own terms of service and its own clinical partnerships.
2. This is not medical advice
When an article refers to a "verdict" — green VERIFIED or red CAUTION — that verdict assesses procedural signals (transparency, traceability, registration, written guarantees). It does not assess whether a clinic is medically appropriate for your specific case. A green stamp on a clinic does not mean you should go there without consulting a clinician. A red stamp does not mean the clinic cannot perform specific procedures safely — it means we identified structural concerns that, taken together, made us uncomfortable recommending them.
Decisions about your own health remain yours, taken with a qualified clinician you trust.
3. Copyright and attribution
All text, graphics, images, and structured data on Clinic Truth is © Clinic Truth 2026 unless otherwise noted.
You may:
- Quote up to 150 words from any article with attribution and a link back to the source URL.
- Screenshot a single chart or table for non-commercial commentary, with credit to Clinic Truth and the source URL.
- Link to any Clinic Truth URL freely, from any context.
- Cite Clinic Truth as a source in academic or journalistic work under standard fair use / fair dealing rules.
You may not:
- Republish entire articles in full without written permission, even with attribution.
- Train AI models on our content without written permission. (A standard
noai/robots.txtsignal will be added as the industry develops consistent opt-out protocols.) - Translate full articles for republication on another site without permission. Partial-quote translations are fine under the 150-word limit.
- Remove or obscure the financial disclosure, author byline, or publication date when reproducing any content.
- Use Clinic Truth's name, logo, or verdict stamps in any context that implies endorsement of a product, clinic, or service that is not part of the original article.
Commercial reprint licences are available — email info@clinictruth.com with details of the intended use.
4. Clinic response rights
Any clinic named in a Clinic Truth investigation has the right to:
- Receive a pre-publication notice listing every factual claim we will make about them (7-working-day response window).
- Have any verified factual error corrected on the Corrections log.
- Have a response statement published within the original investigation as a Clinic Response block, verbatim, without editorial alteration.
Clinics do not have the right to demand removal of a verdict, removal of an investigation, or payment of any kind from Clinic Truth. Any such demand is forwarded to legal counsel and, if without merit, ignored.
5. Reader obligations
When using Clinic Truth, you agree to:
- Use the site for lawful purposes consistent with these terms.
- Not attempt to probe, penetrate, or compromise the site's systems.
- Not scrape content at scale in a way that constitutes unauthorised reproduction (polite crawling by search engines and AI crawlers is welcome; bulk scraping of article bodies is not).
- Not impersonate Clinic Truth or its editor in any context.
6. External links
Clinic Truth articles link to external sources — Trustpilot, clinic websites, regulatory registries, press archives, EU legal documents. These external sites have their own terms and privacy practices, for which Clinic Truth is not responsible. A link from Clinic Truth is not an endorsement of the linked site unless the article says so explicitly.
7. AlbaniaClinic.com relationship
Clinic Truth and AlbaniaClinic.com share an editor — Clinic Truth. When a reader of Clinic Truth chooses to coordinate medical treatment via AlbaniaClinic, AlbaniaClinic earns a coordination fee from the clinic receiving the patient. This revenue funds Clinic Truth. The relationship is disclosed on every page of this site.
This relationship creates a structural bias: Clinic Truth benefits financially when readers prefer Albania over other destinations. We manage this bias by:
- Applying the identical methodology to every clinic in every country.
- Publishing our scoring criteria publicly on the methodology page.
- Never giving Albanian clinics the benefit of the doubt in a way we would not extend to others.
- Accepting reader scrutiny — if you believe we applied different standards to Albania vs Turkey or vs the UK, email us with the specific claim and we will investigate and correct.
You, as reader, are entitled to weigh our findings against this disclosed bias and decide how much weight to give them.
8. Limitation of liability
Our editorial team publishes in good faith. Our methodology is described in detail and open to scrutiny. We make no warranty that:
- Every fact is correct in every edition (we correct publicly when errors are found).
- Our interpretations of the data are the only reasonable interpretations.
- A clinic's practices will remain unchanged between our publication and your reading.
- Acting on our findings will lead to a particular medical outcome.
To the maximum extent permitted by Albanian and EU law, Clinic Truth is not liable for decisions you make on the basis of content we publish. You are responsible for your own medical decisions.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through direct contact with the editor may be submitted to the courts of Tirana. For readers in the European Union, your consumer rights under the law of your country of residence are not affected where mandatory local protections apply.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always this page, dated in section 1. If we make a material change, we flag it on the homepage for 30 days before it takes effect.
11. Contact
Any question about these terms — especially reprint, translation, or interview requests — email info@clinictruth.com.
This document is version 1.0, effective 22 April 2026. Superseding versions will be dated accordingly.
